| About |
|
|
| The Society
of Mississippi Archivists (SMA) publishes The Primary Source (ISSN
0741-6563) twice a year. The Primary Source went online in 2007 as
an electronic-only publication (Vol.27 No.2). Members of SMA receive the
semi-annual newsletter in print form. The Primary Source currently offers articles pertinent to archival professionals and others interested in preserving, organizing, and documenting our cultural heritage. Each issue addresses a particular aspect of the work that we do as archivists, librarians, curators, historians and related professions. The editor, in conjunction with the SMA Publication Committee and the Board of Directors, selects the theme and solicits articles for each issue. Unsolicited articles will be reviewed when Calls for Papers are announced. The content of the articles and other contributions to The Primary Source reflect the views and opinions of the authors and do not necessarily represent those held by The Society of Mississippi Archivists. |
