Description: This workshop will provide an overview of digitization in archival repositories. Topics to be covered include: scanning; metadata creation; copyright issues; content management systems; planning for long-term digital preservation and access; and strategies for maximizing your institution’s digitization potential. The presenters will emphasize practical, real-world application of digitization technologies and strategies. The workshop will help participants identify potential digitization projects in their own institutions and will provide a forum for sharing ideas and solutions.
